Councillor for Sports, Bartholomew Pallares, accompanied by the municipal technician, Jesus Serrano, today introduced the "Sports School", which is aimed at students from 8-18 years old and includes various competitions falling under the Local Phase "Promotion Championship Sports "organized by the Department of Physical Activity and Sport of Murcia.
This program is organized by the Sports Department of Totana, in collaboration with physical education teachers from different schools and sports clubs in this town, and aims to promote sports in the school.
With the same is to guide the education of school children and inspire the sporting, educational and leisure, trying to move him the values ​​of fair play, camaraderie and healthy living practices and the rejection of violence, among others.
The sports promoted for this course 2013/14 are chess, athletics, basketball, handball, badminton, cross country, football, playing athletics, orienteering, table tennis and volleyball.
Sports competitions will be held, as explained, Wednesday and Friday afternoon (team sports) and Saturday morning (individual sports) and Participating students will have the opportunity to participate in the regional phase that calls the Department of Physical Activity and Sport.
The program starts next Wednesday, October 9, with the local phase of team sports to be played on Wednesday and Friday afternoon at the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibañez".
The categories called, in this case, are Benjamin (2004/05), juvenile (2002/03), Child (2000/01), Cadet (1998-1999) and youth (1996-1997).
The school must consist of a single school learning center and have a maximum of 12 players and a minimum of 8.
In the youngest category, participation will free team composition, mixing male and female categories, in the juvenile, will be held by male and female teams, and in the categories of children, youth and cadet teams will be male and female , respectively.

School Olympiad
