The mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, met with the new Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, to determine the actions on Training and Employment which plans to develop the city in the coming months in this county and address other matters related to this department, as the beginning of the school year 2013/14 in Totana.
The meeting was also attended by the Councillor for Education, Employment and Productive Sectors, Maria Jose Baeza.
City officials realized the counselor of state that have schools and Primary Education to mark the start of the new school, and moved some specific needs that have them and that were addressed in the last session of the Municipal School Board.
They also discussed issues related to secondary education and the application of higher-grade implementation of vocational training in the field of tourism for its implementation in the IES Prado Mayor, which was approved in full.
Similarly, addressed the Grade Cycle implementation of Electricity and Mechanics Middle Grade in the same school.
Also informed the counselor, according to the mayor, the City Council that will host the call for subsidies for the implementation of actions aimed at the prevention and control of truancy and dropout reduction in order to give continuity to this program in Totana.
In terms of training and employment, municipal officials reported that they have applied for grants for conducting Initial Professional Qualification Programmes (PCPI) in the profiles of Auxiliary Services Auxiliary Catering and Informatics.
In addition, there are plans to apply training activities, with the collaboration of Employment and Training Service (SEF), English customer service, professional English A2 level administrative activities related to the client, promote local tourism and visitor information and promotion local tourist information to visitors (bilingual English).
Also moved to the counselor's need for technical staff to support the enhancement of the archaeological site "La Bastide".
Other issues were also discussed subscribing to several cooperation agreements with the Regional Employment and Training on employment.
