Accompaniment Program for Social Inclusion (PAIN) this year has brought the attention of 37 local residents at serious risk or social exclusion, according to sources in the Department of Social Services.
These people often lack family and social support given its serious personal problems such as drug addiction, mental illness, ex-prisoners, prostitution, and so on.
In this regard, participants are just standard incorporated community resources (labor, health, education, etc.) due to their lack of knowledge and social and personal skills for it, which then causes further deterioration of health and situation of isolation social.
The program, through the joint approach with user pathways and the use of rehabilitative techniques, tries to compensate for this lack of natural supports through a philosophy of action based on the proximity and accessibility of the user.
The most important interventions that developed the program, carried out mainly by Social Workers and Social Educator have focused on solving the most pressing needs of these people, strengthening their ties and social networks, and their physical support for access and positive use of environmental resources.
Therefore, Accompaniment Program for Social Inclusion has constituted as a resource reference and operating in the development of action against social exclusion experienced by various individuals and local groups.
