The Department of Social Services reports that the municipal social services intervened Primary Care with nearly fifty families with operational problems, coexistence and violence during the first half of 2013.

These interventions have been developed under the Municipal Program Family Support and consisted in providing guidance, support and training to families with operational difficulties, coexistence and respect other problems arising from individual members problems.

The main objective pursued with this is to prevent the worsening of family conflicts, avoiding situations of family breakdown and separation, and protect the most vulnerable members such as minors.

This number of interventions has increased (nearly tripled) over the previous year at this time, which is derived from the progressive increase in the problems of family relationships and the proper exercise of parental roles and subsidiaries.

These cases are usually referred to local social services through various resources such as schools, health center, family autonomic service, etc..

The Department has been giving priority and sustain interventions developed by this program, although funding has been phased himself through the involvement and efforts of professionals and resources in the area.
