Totana has commemorated today with the reading of a manifesto of the International Day of Fibromyalgia, and as in previous years ASTOFIBROM Association of this city has installed a Mobile Information Point in front of City Hall, which has been reported to stakeholders in order to sensitize the public about the disease of fibromyalgia.

The members of this association have read the manifesto memorial and have put on sale in the hot spot that allows them to craft products financed.

This Sunday, May 12th is the World Day of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome with the primary aim to inform and educate the public about these disorders and the situation faced by patients.

Recognized as a disease by the World Health Organization (OMS) in 1992, fibromyalgia is a clinical syndrome of unknown origin characterized by chronic widespread pain presenting musculoskeletal, leading to a significant decrease in quality of life of those affected.

In addition, fibromyalgia, which mainly affects young people-the onset of symptoms usually occurs between 20 and 40 years old-also can cause other symptoms, if severe fatigue, sleep disturbance, the anxiety and depression, morning stiffness or headaches.
