Totana Township has joined the events to commemorate the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women", held on 25 November, with a silent demonstration in which we have proceeded to the reading of a manifesto as cited fatalities that have occurred so far this year.
The event was attended by city officials and city council members and representatives of various associations of the municipality and residents in general, have shown its firm commitment to the fight against gender violence, because prevention and victim support have become the two pillars for combating such violence.
After reading the manifesto, has held a minute of silence in memory of the women killed throughout 2012 at the hands of their partners or former partners.
