PP president proposed that the Generalitat Valencian priority to payment providers and subsidies to the social fabric, and defer payment to banks for five years by a moratorium.
Interestingly this was part of the proposal made by the Municipal Socialist Group in the full month of July to adopt a plan to improve the economic plight of the city council.
At the heart of the PP government rejected the proposal arguing that the moratorium on the payment of the debt of the banks was illegal.
The socialist group proposed a plan that included several measures to reduce the debt of the city council, to avoid the drama of firing workers and facilitate payment to vendors.
The plan provides for the dismissal of four employees free of appointment of the mayor, the withdrawal of the release to the council, and a gross salary of € 50,000 limit for any worker council.
While in the past the PSOE councilors supported the release and hiring employees appointed, in this time of crisis and a debt that exceeds 100 million, considered to be an example of austerity.
Moreover, the plan calls for a moratorium on bank debt of seven years, in order to prioritize debt payments to suppliers, and negotiate with representatives of workers workforce restructuring, causing the least harm employees and their families.
The Socialist Party believes that the payment priority to small businesses, freelancers and companies, and banks can expect to collect what the council owed.
We must not forget that banks have a lot of responsibility on the causes of the economic crisis and the debt of the city council.
On countless occasions, the Socialist Party warned that the municipal government was manipulating the accounts to continue borrowing and wasting money, without them any heed.
The proposal of the Valencian PP offside leaves the mayor and his administration, as in the July plenary branded as illegal.
The Secretary General of the Socialist Group, Andrés García Cánovas, invited the President of the PP in August to negotiate this proposal, considering that is the way for the return to normal economic council in the next legislature.
Now the Socialists insist on the need for political parties sit down to negotiate this plan, and urges the PP to reconsider their stance.
