The program "School Sports", in which the Department of Sports offer free after-school activities in the different schools of Totana in the evening, recorded an average participation of 780 students each week during the past school year, according to sources this department.
This program has been running for several years in schools in Totana, the only of the region in which the Consistory puts monitors its workforce, to continuously (Monday-Thursday) to practice sport in 16 hours to 18 hours, respectively.
As reported by the Department of Sports, the number of students participating in the program rose from 171 students during the school year 2011/12 over the previous year, a figure which does not include competitions and activities undertaken by students on Fridays and weekends.
