The councilman of Commerce, Francisco Hernandez, will raise a motion at the next regular full March to urge the regional government, through the Ministry of the Presidency, to consider the amendment and extension of hotel establishments at night time in order to compensate economic losses caused by the crisis and the implementation of the smoking ban.

Furthermore, the same proposal, it will ask the Councils to boost tourism Presidency and to the Regional Assembly a legislative initiative that allows to adapt the schedule to the new socioeconomic reality and the circumstances for its early entry into force.

The mayor explained in his initiative, the tradition that has historically existed to support the right of employers in the hospitality to make profitable business with the rest of the residents in those areas where such facilities are located in order to avoid discomfort or injury to the interests of both parties.

He also notes that the current economic crisis is hitting many manufacturing sectors, but one of the main ones are the trade and catering, employing a good number of people in the service sector, and that bring together professional sector establishments with bars or without music, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs, and may indirectly affect other as taxi drivers in our town.

The proliferation of shopping malls in cities, where the project attractive entertainment and hospitality, and the increasingly limited time reduction especially on weekends and in summer, makes survival even more difficult for many catering establishments , picks up the motion.
