On the morning of February 5, held the seventh edition of the Mountain Race Sierra del Coto in the Alicante town of Monovar and brought together more than 600 runners.
With a chilly morning as they moved up there the representatives of CAT Simon Martinez, Diego Carrasco Martinez and Augustine, accompanied by the athlete also totanera Raquel Tudela.
The race ran by beautiful natural landscapes, consisting of a distance of 22 kilometers and a cumulative gap + 1250 meters, during which it rose and fell three short of greatness.
During part of the race, in which temperatures were always very low, sometimes even below zero, it was snowing, making if possible, the harder the test, while attractive and exciting.
Well organized by the Mountain Group Monovar with some aid stations where there were even hot broth, comforting and convenient due to low temperatures gotten.
Regarding the times achieved by the athletes of CAT, magnificent career Carrasco completed by Augustine used a time of 2:33:50, followed Diego Martinez after leaving an injury recently made an outstanding career goal in entering a time of 2:33:56 and Simon Martinez stopped the clock in 3:18:43.
