The morning of Sunday 29 January saw the first test of Autonomic Cup Races Mountain Federation of Valencia and did so in the spectacular scenery of Xorret de Cati.
The trial attracted some 500 participants including members of the CAT were Totana Jose Saez Garcia, Pepe Martinez Martinez and Juanfran Ballester Moreno.
At 9 in the morning and two degrees and an icy wind started the race with a route of 20.5 miles and 1250 vertical meters positive, with many sections of trail and hikers with a very high technical level.
High as the Ceiling of Cati, the Alto de Maigmonet or stews, the latter more than 1200 meters, were the steps of greater height where the participants could enjoy the spectacular views of the Sierra.
Regarding Ballast Pepe Martinez times, in full preparation for the next Benissa UltraTrail March 10, ended the test with a time of 2 hours and 31 minutes.
A few seconds later came Juanfran Martinez.
Pepe Sáez, which eventually will also be in Benissa UltraTrail, finished in 3 hours and 27 minutes.
The activity of CAT does not stop athletes from taking the next weekend secured their presence in lands of La Mancha, Valencia and Murcia, by taking part in Saturday's Race "Elche de la Sierra", Albacete and Sunday both in Mountain Run for "Sierra del Coto" in Alicante and in the first edition of the Half Marathon "Bay of Mazarron," proves that in turn is contained within the Local League Athletics "Sports Mill", organized by the CAT.
