Totana City Council, along with the city of Molina de Segura, participate in a pioneering project in the Murcia region through which a service is established mentoring junior women entrepreneurs to settle and improve their businesses with the help of reference and consolidated business of the municipality.
The Athena Project is a pioneering experience in mentoring women entrepreneurs, funded by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism and funded by the Institute for Development of the Region of Murcia.
This project will benefit women entrepreneurs totaneros three with less than three years of experience, with the support of three mentors who are a benchmark of business success.
The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, presented, along with the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras, and the president of the Organization of Business and Professional Women of the Region of Murcia, Manuela Marin, this initiative is benefit women in the municipality that are just starting his career.
Ruiz Sanchez thanked the realization of this project that encourages and strengthens women's entrepreneurship and bet the consolidation of new companies that, ultimately, generate employment and boost the economy, so important at this time.
The municipal councilor noted that this "transfer of know-how" is the success of this project, serious entrepreneurs with established businesses that will encourage young entrepreneurs start their journey in the best way to lay the foundation for a business to consolidate in time and that builds trust.
A very important part of the project is differentiated training for each of the parties involved, (mentees, mentors and technical equipment) through a consulting expert in this type of process.
The objective pursued under the mentoring of novice entrepreneurs, is to offer business training and other real, practical and dynamic, encouraging self-confidence in its business plan and facilitate access to networks.
As a result of the project include, in the words of the president of OMEP, the presentation of the project CROEM headquarters, training of technical teams of the participating institutions, providing them with the skills necessary for the implementation of a service mentoring, developing a book of good practices, among others.
