The initiative is held for the ninth consecutive year and is launched jointly by the Department of Public Safety and Commerce and the collaboration of the Association of Dealers in this town to coincide with the holiday shopping season.

Councilman Citizen Security and Commerce, Francisco Hernandez, the local police officer, Alfonso Canales, and the president of the Merchants Association of Totana, Francisco Andreo, presented this initiative will continue for the next three weeks in shifts morning and afternoon police.

With this initiative, specifically reinforcing agents, with two more on foot patrols per shift, close monitoring in trading hours from 10:00 hours to 14:00 hours and 16:30 hours to 21:30 hours in four specific areas in which most business is concentrated.

These two foot patrols joined the service performed by the vehicle for any incident, with which it is intended to persuade and deter petty theft, explained Canales.

The areas that will increase the work of monitoring and reporting by agents are commercial establishments in the neighborhood of El Parral, La Rambla Avenue Santa in the Plaza of the Constitution, and Lorca Avenue and ceramics.

The main areas are established surveillance zone 1 (Main Street and San Antonio Santomera from Alcon Molina and adjacent to the Tagus River) Zone 2 (avenue boulevard of La Santa, San Antonio, John XXIII, The Fountain, Plaza Juan de la Cierva Angel Novel, Santa Barbara and Calvo Sotelo), Zone 3 (Constitution Square, General Aznar, Francisco Palao Square, Salvador Aledo, Sol, Alamo and Santiago) and Zone 4 (includes Lorca Avenue, neighborhood Ceramics, Priest Martinez Romero and Rodriguez Cabrera), respectively.
