The hermitage of Santa Eulalia hosted last night, as usual in recent years, the presentation of the thirteenth edition of "Journal of the Holy" coinciding with the start of the festivities in honor of Santa Eulalia, in a ceremony attended with a large audience.
This year the publication is offered for sale at a price of five euros.
Responsible for presenting this publication were Totana Mayor and current Chair of the Foundation La Santa, Isabel Maria Sanchez Ruiz, vice president of the Foundation and pastor of the church Santiago, Jose Ruiz Garcia, patrons of the Foundation and coordinator of the notebooks, Juan Canovas Mulero, among other authorities.
The magazine, which has the support of City Hall, savings institutions and private companies in the municipality, has this year with a total of 262 high quality pages, which includes numerous images and illustrations, and includes more than thirty articles, studies and reflections on the patron.
The coordinator of the publication, Juan Canovas Mulero, reviewed the various literary contributions that have joined this year's magazine, with the help of slides, with which in summary was reviewed each of the articles in this magnificent document, which becomes to become a literary device and a historical miscellany that connects to the deepest identity of Totana.
The mayor said the maintenance of this editorial project in this turbulent time of economic stress, which has become in spite of different historical circumstances in relation to many lovers of worship and tradition eulaliense in Totana.
He also stressed the quality of their contributions, the variety and richness of the areas of study related to the patron and the environment, the scientific rigor of research, illuminating important development and maintenance of an editorial format.
He encouraged each and every one of those who each year contribute their bit to continue this noble work invaluable to the advancement and dissemination of the values ​​inherent in the figure of Santa Eulalia through these pages.
He also stressed the strong commitment of the current municipal authorities to promote the commitment to continue working on actions to improve and dignify the heritage of Santa Eulalia, because there is no tracking general interest and significance of the figure.
He said he will continue in efforts to strengthen, by consensus, all possible projects for continuing the efforts to improve our cultural heritage and environment of La Santa.
He advocated that this publication is, again, "a source for analysis, study, reflection and debate, but also a reason for the meeting, the warmth, affection and love in the spirit of honoring the testimony of Santa Eulalia, which is an instrument of immense joy for us all. "
The event served, likewise, to submit publicly to the new trustees appointed by the three political groups Town Council: Pedro Marin Ayala, Serafin Diaz Tudela, and Josefina Gálvez, as well as to pay an emotional tribute to employers unemployed Crespo Roque Murcia and Alfonso Martinez Martinez.
