The Councillor for Education, Maria Josefa Sanchez, explained that they have been working since the beginning of the new legislature, recognizing the need to continue betting on a quality service tailored to the needs of students.

In this regard, he indicated that this decision also responds to the advisability of conducting a more effective public expenditure, taking into account the difficult economic situation in which the town hall so it was decided to advocate for this form of management to ensure their maintenance, so that the service continues to be provided with maximum guarantees, he added.

Sanchez Mendez stressed that during the summer months have held many meetings with AMPAS, teachers and concerned parents to inform them of the various administrative processes and procedures that will begin shortly when proceeding to the writing of specifications conditions for management by a specialized business or cooperative.

The new management system will be evaluated by the new concessionaire of continuous service and by the City, because, according to the charge of this area, at no time will cease to be a municipal service, given that ownership of all primary schools will remain public.

He also explained that the City is anticipating that the new management starting in January temporarily, in order to come into force in the fertilizer application rate and in the next academic year.

The mayor of Education has indicated that parents already know that the price of the fee to pay monthly for their children will be higher for next year 2012/2013, and has clarified that the difference in money between what is currently paid to which pay for the new retail price from January to June this year will be assumed entirely by the City.

Thus, at this point of transition in the management model, has reiterated that parents will not share increased during this school year, but this will happen as early as next year to coincide with the start of the new school year.

First of all, said that Totana is one of the few municipalities in the Region of Murcia which covers all the demands of seats requested, bearing in their classrooms this year nearly 300 students who have started the course as normal, according to the mayor insisted.
