Kick-off activities to commemorate the International Day Against Violence Against Women, which will take place on Friday November 25 with the opening of an exhibition and presentation of certificates of a course for New Technologies.
The exhibition "Educate to End Gender Violence" was opened in Socio-Cultural Center "The Jail" where the first sample of this work is divided into units of Citizen Participation in Local Police and those of Employment and Training Service in the neighborhood of La Ramblica.
The photographs on display, as explained yesterday the mayor of Women and Equal Opportunities, Eulalia Sandoval, the work of students in the School of Arts and Design of Murcia, review four issues around gender violence, which are: as prevention education, inequality as a source of violence, because violence and equality as a solution.
The exhibition is part of the campaign against gender violence that has developed the City of Totana within which several workshops have been developed with the State Security Forces as well as workshops on education.
Following the opening of the photographic exhibition Councilwoman presented the diplomas to the students of advanced training courses to new technologies in the Mobile Classroom program through the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Health and Social Policy.
The campaign will end with the reading of the Manifesto to be held in front of City Hall on 25 November at 12.00, concentration, as the mayor recalled, to which are invited all the people who want to show their rejection of violence of gender.
