The President of the UAG, Isidoro Cayuela, the Mayor moved that the Union has over 400 members and are willing to collaborate and agree on all issues affecting agriculture and relevant to the City Council, provided they have with the Organization prior to the ongoing projects and to take into consideration that the Farmers Union is by far, the organization that represents the majority of farmers in Totana.
Cayuela Isidoro also told the mayor that his organization was very concerned about the fact that to meet a few interests in the planning agreements and urban Totana case, the modifications required by the Plan approved in part, could pose a mortgage and very serious harm on thousands of acres and thousands of farmers whose land would be turned to protected to offset the environmental effects of the expansion of plants in the town and the construction of tens of thousands of homes planned, which increase the current population of Totana several hundred thousand hectares.
