The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and council of Social Care, Josefa Maria Sanchez participated with users of the Residence "La Purisima" and their families in the "Fiesta del Abuelo" organized activity within the program summer.
Throughout the morning, about one hundred users of the residents and their families shared various recreational activities through which they could know the good treatment center professionals provide to their families.
The mayor thanked the involvement of those responsible for the residence and the availability of workers to meet the goal of providing the best welfare for the elderly.
Thus, explained that one of the objectives is to promote the actions necessary to ensure sustainability and improve the welfare and quality in the provision of public services.
For his part, recalled the membership of the municipality as a founding member of the Spanish Association of Towns of Ceramics, and made a commitment to continue carrying out various actions to "encourage and promote the craft carried out, as far as possible," requests made by them.
Also, the mayor said "we will not allow the pottery in Totana disappear" as head of the city of Totana made a commitment to do everything in the hands of the Association to put such measures and mechanisms are possible for "we can enhance the local pottery to the level it deserves."
Finally, the Mayor presented a gift and institutional Francisco Asarta president, gave a painting by Eulalia Gonzalez, as a tribute to the potter in the day of their patron saint.
