The Department of Education and Citizenship propose to the full City Council of Totana, held on 28 April, once the school community of La Cruz is transferred to the new center, the current school used to use socio- and associations of Totana.
To this end, the motion requests the initiation of the measures necessary for optimization and reuse of the existing units Colegio La Cruz in order that they are designed to complement teaching and training initiatives of various kinds by bodies and associations nonprofit in the locality.
Since paths councils have explained that once started construction of new premises of the Colegio La Cruz and to plan future actions, it is time to raise the reuse of a building as emblematic of Totana and in which formed in high number of totaneros and totaneras and is part of the history of our people.
In this connection, recalled that several educational services require a change of facilities either due to increasing the professional and others led a large number of students and the extent to Totana Official School of Languages of Lorca or Adult education or other types of supplementary training.
Also exist in the town a large number of organizations and associations that provide various types of training activities (courses, workshops, seminars, etc) that require local and infrastructures that perform them, with the former premises of the College Cruz suitable for such activities.
