The Municipal Immigration Council at its meeting last week endorsed the text of the Second Municipal Plan for the Integration of Immigrants and Intercultural Coexistence 2011-2015, document will be presented to Full Council for approval in late March.
The councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrión, explained that the exhaustion of the perspective and scope of the measures envisaged in the First Municipal Plan for Integration and Coexistence of Immigrants is necessary to create an instrument to enforce the planning of actions continue and progress in the achievement of the strong.
For this reason, according to the mayor the city of Totana participatory designed so the Second Municipal Plan for the Integration of Immigrants and coexistence Intercultural 2011-2015,
The Second Municipal Plan for the Integration of Immigrants and coexistence Intercultural 2011-2015 is aimed at real integration of immigrants and improving relations, cohesion and coexistence of all citizens of Totana whatever their cultural background, through the establishment of the foundations of municipal policy to serve this goal, with positive actions that articulate a response planned, structured and coordinated from the local government.
The Plan is divided into twelve areas of intervention to try to cover the most important aspects of social, cultural and economic life of the immigrant population resident in Totana and enhancing intercultural harmony in the locality.
In this regard, Carrion noted the importance of the Plan as a working tool that will guide public policy in the field of immigration over the next 5 years.
It has also revealed the design process and development of the Plan has had the participation and involvement of different public and private entities in the municipality, municipal bodies for citizen participation, professionals, technicians, etc. by extending a message of congratulations and thanks them all for their work.
