The Councillor for Women and Equal Opportunities, Josefa María Sánchez Méndez, recently visited the students of the course "Nursing Skilled people dependent on Social Institutions", which is being developed in the training rooms of the Centre for Local Development, located in the Polígono Industrial "El Saladar."

These actions, as noted, are sponsored jointly with the municipalities of Cieza, and Puerto Lumbreras Totana and the SEF, with the European Social Fund and are designed to encourage the employment of women and people most difficulty finding employment, including youth.

Through this project, the three councils and the SEF work in coordination with the objectives to promote the employability of disadvantaged groups, through integrated pathways to integration and training processes and working practices which aim to promote integrated action for sustainable development.

This will ensure equal opportunities between men and women in the workplace, and promote the use of new technologies in the processes of training, job placement, among other actions.

Throughout all this visit, the mayor expressed his closeness and sensitivity to the demands of training and employment that students told him, putting at your disposal both she and the two techniques responsible for this project, and leave with the promise of further meetings.
