The Association "Phone-Amit Totana Hope" organized in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, the First Days of Listening to Older People that will take place on 22 and 25 November at the Senior Center of Balsa Plaza de la Vieja.
The sessions were presented by Councillor for Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, along with the president of the Association, Maria Pallares, and the head of communications, Ana Martinez, who congratulated the association for the good work they perform in their daily contact with the residents of Totana.
This conference is aimed at older people in general, members of the Senior Municipal Center, associations and people who have an interest in this topic.
As reported by the project leaders, older people play an increasingly important role through their volunteer work and caring family, so that loneliness is a risk factor that can affect the psychological.
The first lecture will take place on Monday 22 November from 17:00 to 19:00 under the title "The role of grandparents in today's society", by the psychologist's Hope Phone Totana, Joaquin Navas.
The second will be held on Thursday 25 November from 17:00 to 19:00 from the hand of the president within the past Esperanza, Maria Pallares.
