The Councillor of the Presidency and Institutional Relations, Josefa María Sánchez Méndez, the City has received students from the IES Juan de la Cierva of Totana and arrived in the town from several institutes of the Province of Rome (Italy), found during a few days doing a cultural exchange.
The group of Italian students, consisting of about thirty young among them are seven people with disabilities working in an agricultural cooperative, has developed an exchange program with totaneros to know Spanish culture, the inner zone Murcia, and places of interest near the Community, such as Granada and cultural environment.
The Councillor of the Presidency, together with project managers and the director of IES Juan de la Cierva, Juan Manuel Martinez, welcomed all students and their monitors are in your journey through Ecuador Totana and which are discovering how educational systems are two separate countries, as well as other points of interest such as language, social relations and the environment in which they operate each of the cultures.
Under the theme "Growing Together in Europe" cooperative "and a Mile Le Notte" brought together the two students to facilitate understanding and exchange of experiences among young people with cultural interests and options to achieve further enrichment personal and collective.
Through this project, Sánchez Méndez, approach and educate the youth participants on the phenomenon of the construction of the European Union and the consequences and effects that can bring.
During the event, took delivery of several gifts, among which the one given by the mayor of the Presidency, the Italian students so they may deliver it to the Roman authorities after totaneros students move to Rome.
