The competition, organized by the Neighborhood Association of the Paretón, Padel Club Totana and the Department of Sports of the Consistory totanero occasion of the festivities in honor of the Virgen del Rosario, has played all week, with parties that were held from 19:00 to 00:00 hours, respectively.
Participants paid a fee of 10 euros per couple and parties running until Friday, which will take place the end of the tournament, coinciding with the inauguration of the new paddle tennis court by the municipal authorities.
The first phase was conducted Monday through Wednesday as a league, where by lot, 24 couples were framed in 8 groups of 3.
Therefore, each pair played two games, ranking the first in each group.
The second phase, knockout was played yesterday with the quarterfinals and semifinals will be held Friday from 19:00 to 20:00 and the third and fourth place at 21:00 hours.
The final will take place at 22:00 hours, and then held the trophy for the first three pairs.
The councilman of Deportes, José Antonio Valverde, explained that since his department, the hand of partnership and the new neighbor Paddle Club de Totana, it was decided to make this infrastructure and promote this sport in the village with its implementation value by holding a competition within the sports events of the festivities.
He also recalled that the Presidential awarded a grant of 47,049.60 euros to finance the construction of the track, which gives the sports complex of the Paretón of the most modern and advanced infrastructure for the practice of different sports .
