A total of 300 children and young people of Totana have enjoyed the various activities undertaken by the Youth Council during the month of July under the "Summer Youth 2010", among which the camps in Sierra Nature Classroom Espuña and summer schools are held these days in schools "Santiago", "Reina Sofia" and "Tierno Galván.
Llos summer camps developed in the "Classrooms of Nature" and organized by the City Council in the natural setting of "The Stables" in Sierra Espuña have had a total of 90 children, divided into two shifts, from 1 July to 7 and another 12 to 18 July with 45 students each.
The camps have been organized by the Youth Council and in collaboration with the General Directorate of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity and the company doing the camps "Ecoespuña", in which various activities have been undertaken and dynamics related to the environment, games , workshops, crafts, among others.
Among the activities to be undertaken, are the green gymkhana, adventure games such as zip, activities dedicated to maintaining the environment, recreational game night, hiking and swimming, among other issues.
Classrooms to these camps Nature intended, among other things, to promote respect for the environment, discover the natural and cultural values of this nature, and promote collaborative and inclusive work group and the attitudes of friendship and respect others and the environment through play.
From the Youth Council recalled that the project "Summer Youth 2010" will get more than 300 children and youth in the municipality engaged in activities related to the game, sport and nature, and expressed their satisfaction with the degree of acceptance, and that over 90% of users repeat activities over the previous year.
