The organizing committee of the Centenary of the City of Totana has scheduled three concerts to be held during the month of March within the list of cultural activities promoted in the coming dates.
The first of them will be this Saturday, March 10 (8:30 pm), by the Orchestra of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows, in the parish of the Three Hail Marys.
The Councilor for Culture, Eulalia Moreno, the conductor of the orchestra of "La Dolorosa", Luis Ãngel Sánchez, and the director of the Association of Friends of Music of El Paretón, Fernando Molina, presented the most imminent activities.
The next concert will be this Saturday and the nine marches typical of this orchestra will be performed, with four marches by maestro Juan Miguel Marín.
It is the curiosity that in this orchestra the Nazareno de Honor participates in this year's Holy Week, the musician Francisco Imbernón Tudela.
In addition, on Saturday, March 24 (8:00 pm) there will be a concert by the Association of Friends of Music of El Paretón, at the "Ginés Rosa" Theater of the Sociocultural Center "La Cárcel".
This group will interpret, as a novelty, the march "Caiphas" of the totanero military musician José María Mununera Villar, recovered by the musicologist Jesús Martínez Cánovas, and revised and arranged by the pianist and composer, Juan Miguel Murani, whom they thanked for their collaboration and initiative .
Finally, on Monday, March 26, in the parish of Santiago, the traditional concert of passion marches by the Banda de la Agrupación Musical de Totana will take place, which will perform two marches recovered by the musicologist Jesús Martínez Cánovas from the totanero composer , José María Munuera Villar.
These are "El llanto", arranged by maestro Juan Miguel Murani;
and the original version also of "Caiphas".
