The Intermunicipal Phase of School Sports, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, was held last Friday, February 23;
and in this have participated six totaneros teams in the modalities of Basketball and Futsal for children, cadet and youth, framed in Group 1, along with the municipalities of Alhama, Ãguilas, Librilla and Mazarrón.
In the children's category, the men's basketball team of the IES Juan de la Cierva has managed to move on to the next quarter-final phase, by defeating the IESO of Librilla;
while the male Futsal team of the IES Prado Mayor lost their match against IES Europa de Ãguilas.
As for the cadet category, the men's basketball team of IES Juan de la Cierva lost his match against IES Miguel Hernández de Alhama;
and the same thing happened to the men's Indoor Soccer team, in this case against IES Domingo Valdivieso de Mazarrón.
Finally, in the youth category, the women's team has managed to qualify directly for the semifinals, while the Men's Indoor Soccer team was defeated against the IESO of Librilla.
The next phase of the children's quarterfinals and youth semifinals will be played next Saturday, March 10 in San Javier, where there will be totanera representation of two basketball teams, in the categories of boys and girls, both representing IES Juan de la Cierva .
