The III VRUTRAIL Ventanica Running Trail, official scoring test in the calendar of races of the Mountaineering Federation of the Region of Murcia, will be held on Saturday, February 17, with a distance of 31 kilometers and an accumulated difference of 1,600 meters, different places of the Sierra Espuña regional park.
The Councilor for Sports, Isabel María Molino, and the Secretary of the Sports Club "La Ventanica", Alfredo Tudela, recently presented this test that will start this day, starting at 9:00 am, from the Finca Caruana restaurant, and which also has the collaboration of the Club Senderista de Totana.
Registration can be done on the website www.asuspuestos.com until next February 14, and registration costs 25 euros for federated and 29 euros for non-federated.
This third edition of the event, which combines sport and mountain tourism, is included in the calendar of the Mountain Racing League, which this year includes ten races;
and that has a medium level and a duration of about six hours.
The activity will take place in a very familiar environment, since activities and workshops for children and companions will be organized in the center of Finca Caruana during the celebration of the test.
In the same is expected to participate about 160 athletes from different points of the Region of Murcia, which will tour emblematic sites of the natural park and other less known but of great natural beauty and great charm, as explained from the organization.
Last year, some 130 athletes gathered at this event, and it is expected that it will be consolidated within the regional mountain racing calendar.
