The municipal technicians and the IMASs will share the procedures of dependence, assessment of disability and basic income of insertion

The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, last Friday signed collaboration agreements with nine municipalities of the Region to promote the exchange of data on social services and the implementation of a single file, among which found the municipality of Totana, with the assistance of the mayor, Andrés García.

Thus, the municipal technicians of Ãguilas, Archena, Cieza, Fuente Ãlamo, Los Alcázares, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras, Totana and Yecla can already share with the technicians of the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS) the procedures of dependency, assessment of disability and basic insertion income, among others.

Violante Tomás said that this system will be extended to the rest of the municipalities of the Region and will benefit some 70,000 users of social services that process their files with the IMAS.

"According to the first estimates that have been made, the exchange of data will allow the processing times with the Administration to be considerably eased and shorten an average of about three months," he specified.

The electronic exchange of data in social services will allow all the data and mandatory reports that have to be done by the professionals of the town halls, both in the instruction and processing of procedures that are related to the IMAS, can be done using the unified system of the System of information of users of social services (SUSI) of the Community, which will become an indispensable electronic tool in their daily work.

The information system is an electronic window between the social workers units of the local entities (municipalities and associations) and the IMAS for the management of procedures in social matters.

The program allows consulting the status and the most important details of all the files managed by the IMAS.

Likewise, it manages information in relation to social service centers of public or concerted ownership.

Greater agility for the Unit

Likewise, the system allows consulting the dependency files processed, their status, degree values, benefits granted, among others.

In addition, the system includes information on non-contributory pensions, as well as basic income or other economic benefits.

SUSI manages the authorization of the citizen for the transfer of his data to the local entity in the event that he had not previously stated in any of the requests of the IMAS.

To this end, there is an electronic record of data transfers of the citizen, to which the citizen can request his discharge or discharge at the time he wishes.
