On the morning of December 31, 2017, the I Correvieja took place with a distance of 3.2 km.
The show that had its origin from the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, toured the historic center of the municipality, crossing the Rambla, and the neighborhood of Parral.
Stops were made in emblematic points of the municipality such as the 3 Ave Marías Parish Church of Totana or the Move sports center, as well as in several shops and private homes.
On the afternoon of December 31, Juan Francisco García traveled to the Almeria town of Albox to participate in the "XII San Silvestre albojense".
The absolute test gave its exit at 11:00 hours.
It was a flat course of approximately 4.5 km, that Juan Francisco traveled in a time of 15 minutes and 57 seconds at a rate of 3:33 minutes the km that earned him to be 7th in the veterans category and 26 in the general category.
In addition, that same afternoon, several CAT athletes traveled to the capital of Murcia to compete in the San Silvestre, the race that was disputed by the most emblematic streets of the city and in this edition it touched the 4,000 athletes.
The first member to cross the finish line was Carlos Ballester in the 46th position of the general standings with a time of 23 minutes 45 seconds, twenty seconds after the finish Hipólito Alcaraz crossed in position 52 of the general classification.
The first woman of the CAT was Rut Cánovas with a time of 29:32 and 17th in her category.
After her, María José García and María José Rodríguez entered with a time of 46: 25.
