otana will host the 1st Canine Contest in the courtyard of the old school "La Cruz" of this town on December 16, starting at 11:00 am, organized by the Canine Association of Totana (ASCATO), and included in the program of activities of the patron saint festivities of Santa Eulalia.
The councilman of Celebration and Citizen Participation, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, and the president of ASCATO, Antonio Serrano, have recently presented this activity, whose registration will cost five euros so that the collection will be allocated in full to the association "Refugio del Viento ", which works with abandoned dogs.
Each registrant will have the right to participate in three of the 10 contest categories;
and each category will have five finalists so that three of them will be the winners.
Those interested can register by e-mail asociacioncaninatotana@gmail.com or on the Facebook page of this association, indicating the name of the dog, name and surname of the owner of the pet and the categories in which you want to participate.
Registration will be formalized on the day of the contest starting at 10:00 am.
In addition, the organization offers the possibility of collaborating without participating in the contest by helping the dogs of the "Refugio del Viento" association through the so-called "dorsal 0", in which anyone can donate the amount of the registration for the benefit of this for its maintenance.
In the same way, during the day it is foreseen that anonymous donations can be made by the assistants and information will be offered to sponsor or collaborate with this animalistic entity.
Antonio Serrano explained that that day will have a dog that is up for adoption and the goal of the event is to promote adoption and fight against animal abandonment, as well as publicize the services provided by ASCATO in Totana.
This solidary contest has many categories: more hairy, more eared, male more gallant, more coquettish female, mestizo more obedient, older man more fun, more salty young, more obedient race, reasonable similarities and child-dog.
Similarly, thanked the collaborating companies for their contribution to make this event possible and encouraged animal lovers, and more specifically dogs, to assist with their pets and participate in this fun contest.
