The Department of Sports organized last Saturday November 18, in the School Room, the Local Stage of Badminton School Sports, which had the cooperation of the Badminton Club, and where a total of 64 school children from different schools participated of the locality, pertaining to the categories alevín, infantile, cadet and juvenile, so much in masculine modality as feminine.
The final winners in the different categories were: Pablo Sáez Martínez (San Cristóbal Aledo) and Lucía Valenzuela Alcaraz (La Milagrosa), in alevín;
Carlos Martínez Cánovas (Prado Mayor) and Yasmina el Arraoni (Prado Mayor), in children;
and finally, Casey Clatworthy Sánchez (Juan de la Cierva) and Laura García Marín (Prado Mayor), in cadet category.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies to the first three classified in each of the categories, by the Councilor for Human Resources of the City Council, Gertrudis Ruíz Tudela;
and by a representative of the Bádminton Totana Club, Pedro Sánchez.
In addition, the best qualified will have the opportunity to participate in the Regional South Zone of Badminton of School Sports, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, which will take place on Saturday, January 20, in San Pedro del Pinatar.
