The book of the official chronicler of the city of Totana, the historian Juan Cánovas Mulero, presents this Saturday, September 30, starting at 21:00 hours, the book "The parish church of Santiago El Mayor."
Totana, an itinerary of faith and hope for a people and its people, "which concludes the program of events organized on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the consecration of the parish church, according to sources in the Department of Culture.
The event will be held in the parish of Santiago and will end the list of activities organized by the parish on the occasion of this anniversary, which has included especially during the month of July conferences, concerts, eucharistic celebrations, among others.
To celebrate this event, there have been activities of different nature: conferences given since the roots of faith by Fernando Colomer and Francisco José Alegría;
a prayer meeting with music, voice and emotions directed by the singer-songwriter Carmela Martínez;
a pictorial homage by the local group "Contrast";
different concerts of music of the Reformation and the Baroque in charge of the interpreters of the International Festival of Ancient Music of Sierra Espuña;
and also the celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by the bishop of the diocese, Monsignor Lorca Planes.
In order to deepen the reality of this fertility trajectory, this publication will be presented on the historical and faith itinerary of the temple.
