More than 120 children participated during the three shifts this summer in the work and family conciliation program "Holidays 3.0" promoted by the collective "El Candil", with the collaboration of the Department of Youth of the City of Totana.
This initiative, already consolidated in the municipality of Totana during the last summers, becomes a service of conciliation for the vacation periods of the children of school age, basically between the 3 and 12 years.
This summer the project has been offered, for the third consecutive year, in three different periods: the last week of June;
The month of July and the first half of August that has just finished, so that the service has been extended from June 26 to August 14, both inclusive.
In particular, 31 minors participated in the last week of June, 86 in July and 28 in the fortnight of August, thus matching the number of participants from previous years.
The project has been developed in the schools "Santiago" and "La Cruz", from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
During the program the participants have enjoyed playful activities, school reinforcement, creative and plastic expression workshops, games and excursions, trips to municipal swimming pools and other group dynamics, among others.
The councilor of the branch thanked "El Candil" that, once again, have opted for this type of initiatives to reconcile work and family life,
And congratulated the working families who have taken advantage of this summer service;
While announcing that the municipal government will continue betting on this type of programs during the vacation periods of schoolchildren.
At this time, the participants were divided into two groups: children from 3 to 6 years of Early Childhood Education;
And from 6 to 12 years in Primary Education in order to make the teams more dynamic and according to their needs.
It should be noted that the families that participated this year have very positively valued this resource of conciliation, which, when starting activities in June, becomes an important support measure for families.
In addition, the assessments of the professional team that participated in this edition and the activities carried out with the children have been highlighted by the parents, who have seen how their children enjoyed their vacation time.
