The City Council advocates having a Master Plan for the Archaeological Reserves of Totana that sets out its guidelines and guidelines for the conservation, promotion and enhancement of these natural spaces, for which, precisely, several months ago requested collaboration and funding To the Autonomous Community.

The Plenary already approved last April the proposal of the Councilor for Historic Heritage, Inmaculada Blázquez, in which he asked the General Directorate of Cultural Property for their involvement in this initiative.

The Master Plan is a document that is carried out through a participatory process of consensus on the part of the local and regional administrations, the scientific community and experts in cultural development that govern the great decisions that will guide the future of the La Bastida, Tira del Lienzo and Las Cabezuelas.

The City Council has been dedicating a series of resources, both material and human, in the development of various programs for the recovery of the historic-artistic and cultural heritage of Totana.

The argárico deposit of La Bastida for several years has become a center of systematic archaeological investigation, with great finds like the one of the wall, of great scientific repercussion at national and international level.

At the same time, an open-air musealization was carried out in the same site, which has been complemented by the materialization of a reproduction of an argaric dwelling, which will allow to convey to the general public a perception of verisimilitude and immediacy regarding the material reality of the past .

We have analyzed the master plans carried out in other archaeological sites such as the Archaeological Complex of Italica or the Castle of Monteagudo, where action lines are established that mark a series of action strategies, management model, research, restoration and consolidation, conservation.

In parallel, economic and financial strategies, of uses, services and activities of promotion and marketing, and last of evaluation are established.
