The Department of Works and Infrastructures of the City of Totana is undertaking during these weeks numerous urgent actions in various schools of Early Childhood and Primary Totana taking advantage of the summer school holidays, and in order to be finalized before the start of the school year 2017 / 2018, in early September.
The works are basically conditioning and improvement of the infrastructures in classrooms and toilets, responding to the demands transferred to the Consistory totanero at the end of last year by the educational communities of schools.
Among the actions being carried out by operators of this Council include the repainting of several classrooms of CEIP "Guadalentín" in El Paretón and CEIP "Santa Eulalia", as well as works against humidity in an area of ​​CEIP "Santiago" to be undertaken in the next few days, according to the mayor of the branch, Víctor Balsas.
In addition, as explained by the councilman, an important action is being taken against the thermal stress in the CEIP "Tierno Galván", consisting of opening ventilation on the roof of the building.
Response to demands
For its part, CEIP "Comarcal" is one of those that is focusing major work, such as the placement of the new floor in a bathroom that was requested, as well as the change of about 150 meters of fence.
