The City of Totana will celebrate next week, from 10 to 13 July, the so-called "Memory Force Week" to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the kidnapping and murder at the hands of ETA of the former councilor of Ermua, Miguel Ángel Blanco, and with the aim of defending and maintaining the values of the victims of terrorism and their dignity.
The Councilor for Culture, Eulalia Moreno, has presented the program of activities that will take place over the next few days, and which aims to respond to the agreement last July to promote a cultural week for freedom, political pluralism And constitutional democracy.
The Plenary approved a year ago an initiative of the Municipal People's Group and join the program "Memory Force Week Miguel Ángel Blanco and Victims of Terrorism. Consciousness awakens", to which they are going to be added with different acts near a Hundreds of town halls throughout Spain.
The central events will take place next Thursday, July 13, in which storytelling and workshops of expression by the participants of the Summer Schools will take place, based on the values and principles of peace, tolerance and human rights.

Miguel Ángel Blanco suffered the macabre threat of ETA on July 12, 1997 in Lasarte where he suffered two shots in the nape of his neck and died a day later in the hospital of Our Lady of Aranzazu in Guipzcoa after he was abducted at the train station Of Eibar when he moved to his job.
