The Treasury Department has raised to the ordinary meeting in June a proposal of its owner, Ana María Cánovas, for the approval of file 1/2017 of cancellation and rectification of accounting balances in the municipal accounts of closed exercises.
The council of the branch has explained that this proposal refers to the regularization of accounting balances from 2002 to 2016, balances that detract from the accounting reality.
As explained, the reasons for these cancellations are several, and they refer basically to duplication in accounting operations, lack of documentation, lack of justification, accounting errors, lack of information, regularization of balances, adjustments, among other reasons.
The mayor of Hacienda said that this process is "a small part of accounting clearance" and added that "we will continue working on it within the possibilities of personnel and the tasks essential in the Municipal Intervention and Treasury."
In addition, the council has referred to the pretension of its municipal department to continue in the line of updating the balances of the accounts of the City Council to have the real reflection, he said.
