The councils of Environment and Emergencies of the City of Totana remember that users and visitors can no longer carry out fires from today on the barbecues enabled in Sierra Espuņa.
From this date it is totally prohibited to fire in the barbecues in the different places and recreational areas distributed by the natural park of Sierra Espuņa, basically in the areas of El Grifo and El Ãngel.
There is a prohibition, as every summer, to cook in the mountains with barbecues as well as using gascamps, under the measures set out in the INFOMUR Plan.
Civil Protection is grateful for the collaboration of all users and visitors to the Sierra de Espuņa throughout the year and particularly during the summer months in order to avoid unpleasant accidents on the natural environment, more in a summer of extreme drought like that expected.
The main objective of the Emergency Forest Protection Plan for Forest Fires in the Region of Murcia (INFOMUR Plan) is to establish hierarchical and functional organization in order to protect people, property and the environment.
The scope of this Plan extends to the entire territory of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and consequently are integrated in it, Municipal Emergency Plans for forest fires, such as Totana.
