The Councilor for Historic Heritage, Inmaculada Blázquez, has raised a motion to the April plenary session in which she asks the General Directorate of Cultural Assets for their collaboration and funding for the realization of a Master Plan for the Archaeological Sites of Totana.
The Master Plan is a document that is made through a participatory process of consensus on the part of the Local Administration, Regional, scientific community and experts in cultural development that govern the great decisions that will guide the future of the deposits of La Bastida , Tira del Lienzo and Las Cabezuelas.
According to the proposal of the mayor, one of the priority objectives for this City Council is the conservation, promotion and enhancement of the historic-artistic and cultural heritage of Totana, and for this purpose the City Council allocates a number of resources, Both material and human in the development of various programs for the recovery of said heritage.
In addition, according to the motion, it is well known that the Arganic site of La Bastida for several years has become a systematic archaeological research center, with great finds such as that of the wall, with great scientific repercussion at national and international.
At the same time, an open-air musealization was carried out in the site itself, which is to be complemented by a reproduction of an argará housing, already under construction, which will allow the general public to be given a perception of verisimilitude and immediacy with respect to The material reality of the past.
According to the motion, considering these actions, it is necessary to draw up a Master Plan, a strategic plan, which sets the guidelines for the development of the reservoirs of the municipality and how it intends to achieve it.
We have analyzed the master plans carried out in other archaeological sites such as the Archaeological Complex of Itálica or the Castle of Monteagudo, where action lines are established that mark a series of action strategies, management model, research, restoration and consolidation, conservation.
In parallel, economic and financial strategies, of uses, services and activities of promotion and marketing, and last of evaluation are established.
