The Local Police Headquarters of Totana has received congratulations and thanks from the National Police National Corps for the collaboration in the investigation that has allowed to clarify and arrest several alleged members related to Latin gangs that were residents in this municipality.
The first contact of the National Police Station with Agents of the Crime Investigation Unit of the Local Police of Totana took place last February when the collaboration was requested for the identification and location of young people, mostly South Americans, who Apparently were related to activities of Latin bands, specifically with the band "Latin Kong".
The main investigation began in January in Madrid, when a meeting of members of the band was detected, where a group of young people settled in Totana was intercepted and where various objects related to the band were intercepted.
These facts gave rise to the beginning of this investigation from different police stations of National Police of Madrid together with local brigades of Murcia and Lorca.
They are all charged with an offense of illicit association, in addition to robbery with violence, riot of tumult, injuries to even one of the minors, attempted murder, being involved the weapon used in a control of the National Police of Lorca.
Similarly, one of the leaders of that band has been arrested;
And although the first phase of the operation has ended, it remains open to try to identify more members of the organization.
