The Local Police of Totana has recently recovered eleven tanks with about 300 liters of diesel that had been stolen on a plot of this locality and owned by a construction company.
The events took place when agents of the Vigilance and Prevention of Robbery Service in Rural Areas of the Local Police carried out a routine check in the area of ​​Los Derramadores after being aware of the aforementioned robbery inside said private property.
As a result of this event a device was established in the vicinity of the place where the vehicle carrying these drums, model Renault Express, skipped established control, initiating the search and pursuit of different rural roads in the area.
The persecution reached the Guadalentín River, for more than five kilometers, in search of the escaped driver, until he left the vehicle in motion, which caused it to leave the road without control, causing an accident.
According to the same police sources, the escaped driver is a known delinquent of the region, establishing a new device for its location, although it could not be found.
The agents located in the interior of the van numerous objects presumably stolen among which were the drums filled with gasoil, and they instructed diligences by an alleged robbery that they were delivered in the guardhouse of the Civil Guard of Totana.
