The Jesús Abandonado Foundation has received the donation by the Brotherhood of the Veronica of Totana around 1,000 kilos of hygiene products and personal cleanliness, clothing and non-perishable foods.
This donation, a sign of the solidarity of the Brotherhood and the totanero people, was carried out during the last Christmas through the IV Belén Solidario that was exposed in its headquarters of the street Minister Fernandez Ordoñez.
The products, brought to the premises of the Jesus Abandoned Reception Center in Murcia, include from gel, shampoo, deodorant, toalllitas, cologne or shaving foam, to pasta, legumes, rice, milk, sugar, oil or preserves.
All these products will be destined to the people hosted in the Santa Catalina Road, installation with 202 places, and the 9 houses with 33 places and 26 more in the social pension managed by Jesús Abandonado.
In addition, they will also serve the Social Dining service, with an average of 300 meals and 300 dinners daily.
In total, the Jesús Abandonado Foundation has 261 places for passers-by and residents at risk of social exclusion or in situation of homelessness, who join the services of the area of ​​employment or the shower, wardrobe, laundry, and health services such as nursing , Psychology, psychiatry, dentistry or gynecology.
The Jesús Abandonado Foundation, which develops its work in the Region of Murcia together with the Hospital Order of San Juan de Dios, includes all its programs with individualized, continuous and integral attention through a multidisciplinary team made up of social workers, psychologists, Nurses, auxiliaries and educators, with the reinforcement of volunteers.
