The Local Government Board of the City of Totana has approved to grant an economic contribution of 9,600 euros to the Illustrious Cabildo Superior de Procesiones to defray part of the expenses derived from the program of activities of the Holy Week of this locality in 2016.
The Cabildo has presented in the Consistory, together with the request for financial aid, a detailed report of all the processions and cultural events carried out during the past year, as well as an economic summary of the expenses incurred.
The Department of Culture, which has processed the proposal to the municipal government body, positively values the provision of this collaboration, as is being done annually, and considering the cultural nature of this event.
In addition, Holy Week of Totana is one of the most participative events of the municipality, taking into account in addition that it is declared as Festival of Regional Tourist Interest.
