"We publicly denounce the irresponsibility of the Central Government and of CHS on the defaults or empty proposals of real content, seeking only the political propaganda and the votes. We hold both CHS and the PP governments responsible for the damages caused during this rainy season "

The rains of the last days, have produced incidences and damages in all the municipal territory of Totana.

Luckily and due to the characteristics of the rains, we do not regret too serious damage.

The most affected areas in terms of crops, housing and infrastructure are located at the mouth of the Rambla de Lébor, in the strip included in the upper part of the Autovía del Mediterráneo.

This situation is generated by diverse historical circumstances, among which the lack of investments in the Rambla de Lébor stands out.

On this occasion, the avenue of water coming from the rains in high and middle areas of the Rambla, has not been as large as in other times, but it has still become clear, the danger it poses to the security of owners, neighbors And public infrastructures that are defenseless in the face of inclement weather.

For several years, several investments have been announced for the Rambla de Lébor, in order to store the rainwater for irrigation, as well as to avoid the dangers that hang over the crops and dwellings in the flood areas.

More than three years have passed since the Popular Party and CHS sold "in a hype" the imminent construction of a dam on the Rambla de Lébor.

It was even possible to ensure that the same year, the National Government, also of the PP, allocated 3 million euros to start work and that budget line was already included in the General State Budget (PGE).

Not content with this, they continued to sell smoke and works that would never be carried out, assuring that the State would invest 73 million euros to create new reservoirs on the Ramblas of the municipalities of Lorca, Totana and Puerto Lumbreras.

In 2015, and given the evidence that these works were never carried out, they announced again from the National and Regional People's Party that the works of Lébor, Las Moreras and Camarillas Dams would be included in the State Budget for 2016 , And a total of EUR 20 million would be allocated to these infrastructures.

Also this year, it was assured by CHS that € 3,699,274 would be allocated for a project to refurbish and restore the Rambla de Lébor.

"Since Ganar Totana IU, we publicly denounce the irresponsibility of the Central Government and CHS over empty breaches or proposals of real content, looking only for political propaganda and votes. We hold both CHS and PP governments responsible for the damages caused During this rainy season. "

"We demand that investment measures be taken immediately in the runway of the Rambla to take advantage of the water of the avenues and to eliminate the danger in the flood zones of the municipality on houses, businesses, farms and livestock, public infrastructures, as well as on own Physical integrity of persons. "

We will raise a motion to the Plenary to demand firmly the Hydrographic Confederation of the Segura and the Central Government, the immediate investments in the channel of the Rambla de Lébor.
