The Municipal Socialist Group proposes to create a working group formed by technicians of youth, citizen participation, culture and sports that elaborates a Plan of Dynamization of "The Prison", focusing especially on the young people of these ages.
The Motion in question, shows the need to design an Alternative Leisure Program for young people of this age group since, at present, there is no alternative leisure of this kind in our municipality.
In that sense, the councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Gertrudis Ruiz, has stated that Totana was a reference in this type of programs when the "Totana de Noche" was developed, between 2001 and 2008 in the Sociocultural Center of "La Prison ", in which a large number of young people participated.
This infrastructure has adequate facilities to carry out this type of activities, not only for its enclave, but also because it has a theater, library, gym, audio-visual room, computer room and other facilities that make this building, The ideal place for young people to enjoy socio-cultural and educational activities related to alternative leisure, preventing young people of these ages from seeing Totana's parks and gardens as their only meeting place during weekends.
On the other hand, "La Cárcel" has a bar, practically conditioned, to offer this complementary service to all those who attend the different activities programmed as theater, concerts, among others, favoring the dynamization of the building and transforming it into a Cultural reference and leisure in our municipality.
Likewise, the socialist councilor considers it essential that, in the design of this Plan of Dynamization of "La Cárcel", the social fabric of Totana should be involved and involved, since the different associations and groups that maintain direct contact with the young people of These ages know what their interests and demands are.
