The Local Government Board has approved grant aid of 6,000 euros to IES "Juan de la Cierva" of Totana, in respect of maintenance fee mode International Baccalaureate pursuant full agreement dated January 25, 2005.
The IES "Juan de la Cierva" of this town offer the International Baccalaureate mode from the 2005/2006 academic year and since its inception Totana City Council has participated, together with other organizations and companies, in their maintenance.
After implantation for several years of this program, it is found that the academic performance of young people who have developed has been highly positive and has resulted not only benefit the students themselves but extends to the entire educational community.
Therefore, the Department of Education considers of interest to continue with this cooperation, because "bet on educational excellence is an investment for the future in the medium and long term," according to sources from the municipal department.
