The Local Government Board has recently approved the proposal of Councillor for the Elderly to sign the collaboration agreement with the Autonomous Community, through the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), for the provision of Day Center for People older Dependents of Totana.
This agreement aims to establish collaboration between the IMAS and the City of Totana so that such local entity provides the service Day Centre for Elderly dependent on Day Care Centers located across the street Real (Centro Services Sociales9 and Balsa Plaza Vieja in this town .; with a number of 30 seats.
The agreement will be valid for 24 months with effect from the day 1 January 2017 until 31 December 2018;
and a total cost of 594,397 euros.
The IMAS finance the actual cost of the service day center, up to 869 euros per month, including transport and maintenance.
This cash cost is the result of subtracting the actual cost of providing service users when they come obliged to do so according to their economic capacity.
Regarding the reserved seats (not busy), the IMAS finance the amount of 700 euros per month, a price has been calculated by discounting the maximum price (869 euros) support service (169 euros).
The day center service shall include at least the provision of basic services such as Care, Monday to Friday every week of the year, except holidays;
Paratransit users at their request;
Maintenance (breakfast, lunch and snack);
personal care, protection and control of users;
and geriatrics, rehabilitation and social care.
In addition, specialized services Prevention, advice and guidance for promoting autonomy offered;
social care;
Care and occupational therapy;
counseling and personal development and functional rehabilitation.
Users also have intervention programs, such as the establishment of a Program Individual Performance (PIA) to respond to the circumstances and needs of each person, such as development of intervention programs for self-care skills for maintaining hygiene habits;
cultural, recreational and leisure activities;
mental and memory and establishment of favorable environmental conditions for improving the temporal-spatial orientation capacity, aimed at older people with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, among others.
