Full last of July, coinciding with the date they were met nineteen years of barbaric cold-blooded murder of Miguel Angel Blanco, the Popular Party of Totana proposed the adoption of a motion to that during the year 2017 would be carried out holding a cultural week for freedom, political pluralism and constitutional democracy as a commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the kidnapping and murder of Miguel Angel Blanco.
During the celebration of the city was approved by all the political group of Totana Town Council held a cultural week that will pay tribute to Miguel Angel Blanco and victims of terrorism.
With the approval of this motion holding a series of events that are to be held during the week from 10 to 16 July 2017 it was approved.
These events and activities will be based on the defense of the values of all victims of terrorism and their dignity.
One of the acts that encompasses this week will comply with a motion adopted on 27/2/2008 to name a street or public space of the town with the name of "Victims of Terrorism".
It is also intended to carry out holding papers or events in which members of the Miguel Angel Blanco Foundation or Victims of Terrorism will be invited, in order to see first hand these associations.
Moreover writing and reading a manifesto was adopted.
These were basically the proposals raised in the motion, which has been commended by the Foundation Miguel Angel Blanco indicating that wish to stretch the motion to other municipalities of Spain for its participatory nature of awareness and social awareness on the issue of the Report of the victims, one of the pillars on which to base coexistence.
From the Foundation we have indicated that it is already working on the next XX anniversary Miguel Angel Blanco.
From the Popular Party of Totana and following the approval of the motion filed last full month of July, we will work hand this Foundation and the Government Team for holding it.
