Channel Paretón is an infrastructure that diverts water from the dam Guadalentín river to the Rambla de Las Moreras, toward the coast of Mazarrón, in order to alleviate its course as flooding and torrential rains occur, and thus avoid also destructions in its mouth with the Segura river and in the vicinity of the city of Murcia.
